Edmonton, AB (SportsNetwork. Black Air Jordan 4 Retro .com) - Jockeying for position in the West Division standings continues this week, as the Edmonton Eskimos entertain the Saskatchewan Roughriders at Commonwealth Stadium on Friday night. Both clubs are still sitting behind Calgary in the standings at the moment, but with an injury to Stampeders quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell, now might be the best time to try and make a move towards unseating Calgary. The Riders are second in the standings with 18 points, two behind the Stamps, while Edmonton has amassed 16 points, even though it is only 2-3 in division play. Despite playing with backup quarterback Tino Sunseri, the Roughriders still came out on top against a pesky Ottawa squad last Sunday, although the Redblacks were able to take the meeting to two overtimes before bowing out in the 35-32 final. Sunseri, who is filling in for an injured Darian Durant, hit on 20-of-32 passes for 260 yards and a pair of majors, one each to Weston Dressler and Will Ford. Dressler finished the meeting with seven catches for a game-high 125 yards. A one-yard TD run by Anthony Allen late in the fourth quarter brought the Riders back from an eight-point hole, a two-point conversion by Sunseri to Dressler knotting the score and sending the meeting into overtime. After a scoreless first OT, kicker Chris Milo played the hero for the hosts as he knocked through a 22-yard field goal. Dressler, who has been back in the league with Saskatchewan for just four games after trying to hang on with an NFL team this year, also returned a punt 78 yards for a major during the thrilling comeback. The North Dakota product finished with five punt returns for a total of 103 yards, en route to being named the CFL Special Teams Player of the Week. Saskatchewan, which dealt with nine penalties for a loss of 70 yards, generated just 345 yards of offense, compared to 405 yards for the struggling RedBlacks. The victory for the Riders was the eighth in the last nine outings and came on the heels of the squad being embarrassed by Hamilton on the road a week prior, 28-3. The Eskimos appeared to be well on their way to a much-needed win last weekend, leading Hamilton 15-3 at the break, but then it all fell apart for the visitors as they surrendered 22 points in the second half to the home team. Quarterback Mike Reilly converted 23-of-42 passes for 283 yards and two scores, but he was picked off twice and sacked five times as the Esks coughed up a double-digit advantage and headed to the loss column yet again. While Reilly was putting up solid numbers through the air, the so-called rushing attack was less than spectacular as the squad generated a mere 48 net yards on nine attempts. Edmonton, a loser in three of the last four contests, did not do itself any favors by being flagged 10 times for a loss of 85 yards, although that was still better than Hamilton which suffered 11 penalties (86 yards). Miscues and mistakes have become a big issue with the Eskimos this season, as the team averages more than 11 penalties per contest and has the third-most penalty yards in the CFL (1,155). By contrast, Saskatchewan is one of the more disciplined squads in the league, ranking second in overall flags (116) and yards assessed (1,025). However, Edmonton seems to have found a balance between penalties and scoring points as it ranks second this week with 26.4 ppg, not to mention being second in overall defense with 295.0 ypg allowed. Perhaps the most promising stat for the Esks has them first in the league in pass defense, allowing opponents to convert just 56.7 percent of their attempts, while Saskatchewan is next-to- last in that department at 64.8 percent. With respect to the all-time series between the clubs, Edmonton is on top by a count of 115-90-2 when taking into account only regular-season bouts dating back to 1938. The Esks won the most recent matchup last November by a score of 30-26 in Regina, giving the teams a split of the last six meetings. Over the final three weeks of this regular season the teams will meet twice, with both battles going on in Saskatchewan. Air Jordan 4 Retro For Sale . -- Patrick Kueng of Switzerland was nearly flawless as he captured his first World Cup and halted Aksel Lund Svindals streak of four straight super-G victories on Saturday. Discount Air Jordan 4 Retro . ANAHEIM, Calif. Nike Air VaporMax Black Silver . -- Hank Conger got his first RBI of the season the hard way. It was the ultimate in taking one for the team. Conger was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the 11th inning after rookie Jeurys Familia intentionally walked the previous two batters, and the Los Angeles Angels got home runs from Mike Trout and J.B. Shuck in a 5-4 victory over the New York Mets on Friday night. "With bases loaded, your job is to try to somehow get on base so youll drive in the run. So I was just trying to get a pitch up because I knew a sac fly would do," said Conger, who entered on defence in the ninth after catcher Chris Iannetta was replaced by a pinch runner. "I just went up there trying to battle him." Raul Ibanez led off the 11th with a single against Familia (0-2), who was working his third inning of relief. Ibanez advanced on a wild pitch and went to third on a grounder to shortstop by David Freese before Mets manager Terry Collins ordered Familia to walk Howie Kendrick and Shuck to set up a force at any base. "Thats part of the game, you know? Sometimes you have to do that -- walk the guy and try to get a double play," Familia said. "So you just try to keep going, pound the zone and try to get groundballs." The strategy backfired when Familia plunked Conger in the ribs with a 2-2 delivery on his 51st pitch. Conger recoiled to absorb the blow. The run ended a string of 18 2-3 scoreless innings by Mets relievers after they allowed 13 earned runs in the teams first four games. Kyle Farnsworth helped keep the streak going when he retired Albert Pujols on a grounder with the bases loaded to end the eighth. Pujols came up again in the 10th with two on and hit a bouncer back to Familia for the third out, leaving the three-time NL MVP with five RBIs in his first 41 at-bats. Michael Kohn (1-0) pitched a perfect inning for the win. Travis dArnaud homered for the Mets and Josh Satin hit a two-run double. This is the Mets third visit to Anaheim since interleague play began in 1997. Their previous series at the "Big A" was in June 2008, when manager Willie Randolph was fired in the middle of the night and replaced by Jerry Manuel. New Yorks 4-2 lead evaporated in the sixth when Dillon Gee gave up a walk to Kendrick and a two-run homer by Shuck that landed in the lower seats in the right field corner. It came in the first game of the season for Shuck, recalled from the minors Wednesday when right fielder Josh Hamilton went on the disabled list with a torn ligament in his left thumb. Hamilton, injured on a headfirst slide into first base Tuesday at Seattle, had surgery Friday morning and is expected to be sidelined six to eight weeks. "It says a lot about J.B. and a lot about the team," Conger said. "Obviously, it had to be kind of a shock for him to get sent down toward the end of spring training. The team knows theres big shoes to fill, as far as Hamilton goes. So he comes up here and plays with a chip on his shoulder, and tonight he did an awesome job." Gee was charged with four runs and six hits in 5 2-3 innings, the first time in 20 starts that he failed to get through the sixth. He walked the bases loaded in the fifth, but escaped when Satin fielded a grounder by Ibanez that hit first base and bounced high in the air. "Its really frustrating. Today was just not a good outing all the way around," Gee said. "I didnt feel really good and I struggled with command, walking as many guys as I did. So I just tried to battle through it and grind it out. This was one of those days where I had trouble finding the release point I wanted." The Mets, who travelled cross-country following Thursday nights 6-4 victory in Atlanta, didnt get to their hotel until 3 a.m. But they scored in three of the first four innings against lefty Tyler Skaggs. "You want to put up zeros, but fortunately the team picked me up," said Skaggs, who went seven innings. Curtis Granderson caught Shucks flyball in the right field corner for the first out of the eighth, then did an immediate 360 toward the stands after a fan reached out and touched him on the back. Security guards escorted the fan out moments later. NOTES: Collins piloted the Angels for two-plus seasons and resigned with 29 games left in the 1999 campaign. Liriano pitched in and out of trouble in his duel with Josh Beckett, and Ike Davis homered to help the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 2-1 Friday night. Nike Air VaporMax Dark Blue Black .com) -  The Toronto Maple Leafs will try to play spoiler as the Los Angeles Kings will try to match their longest winning streak in over four years in Thursdays battle at Staples Center.Like the flowers and blossoms suddenly appearing on a sunny spring day in Vancouver, the Whitecaps young guns are themselves starting to bloom. On Tuesday afternoon, a group of (dont call them reserve) players who didnt feature in the 2-1 win over Houston, took care of business against an FC Edmonton team preparing for its NASL campaign. Throughout the afternoon, the Whitecap squad averaged a tender 20.8 years of age. That number was brought up by 26-year-old Carlyle Mitchell, and 25-year-old goalkeeper Paulo Tornaghi. Had 17-year-old Marco Carducci started in goal, the average age might have dropped into the teens. But as they say in the game, "if youre good enough, youre old enough", and the young Caps proved it with a sterling performance going forward, scoring three goals in the first 17 minutes. They also held their nerve defensively against a big, physical Colin Miller-coached team that will be trying to join the NASL elite in 2014. The culture of competition that Carl Robinson has built is starting to permeate through the residency program, which Gordon Forrest helps oversee in addition to his first team assistant coaching duties. That common thread, and the managers desire to connect the entire club, is starting to bear fruit in the form of players like Marco Bustos, Kianz Froeze, Mitch Peraux, and a more recent revelation, Nicholas Prasad. Nike Air VaporMax Grey Black Volt. The 18-year-old Surrey native stepped into an unfamiliar right back spot over his more natural centre back role, and didnt put a foot wrong in his 45 minutes of work. It was a side that wouldnt look out of place against MLS competition, when you consider that Mitchell, Johnny Leveron, Kekuta Manneh and Eric Hurtado have all seen first team spells in their young careers. The Whitecaps depth will come in handy during next months Amway Canadian Championship for the Voyageurs Cup, a competition the Whitecaps have yet to win in their MLS era. Despite a small sample size, youd have to think Vancouver would be considered favourites to finally win it at this stage. If they do represent Canada in CONCACAF, the club could easily send a young squad to play the group qualifying games. This would not leave their first teams regular season endeavours severely hamstrung, as weve seen from so many CCL campaigns in the past. For now, the youngsters will have to keeping pushing and competing until the opportunity presents itself. But as in springtime, when the fruit starts to ripen, its only a matter of time until it gets picked. Wholesale NFL Jerseys Wholesale Nike NFL Jerseys NFL Jerseys From China Cheap Nike Basketball Jerseys Wholesale Hockey Jerseys China Nike Baseball Jerseys Cheap College Jerseys China Cheap Football Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Canada Wholesale NHL Jerseys Canada Wholesale Nike MLB Jerseys Canada Cheap NBA Jerseys Authentic Canada Stitched Soccer Jerseys Canada Cheap Jerseys Canada NFL ' ' '

(SportsNetwork. Rodrigo Bentancur Jersey .com) - The Toronto Blue Jays look to prolong the Boston Red Soxs recent slide when they open a three-game series tonight at Fenway Park. The Blue Jays start lefty J.A. Happ for the fourth time this season after hed opened on the disabled list and then went to the bullpen. He last started on Thursday and threw six innings of one-run ball in a 4-2 defeat of Cleveland. "Youre always (showing something) to somebody," Happ said. "I felt good, definitely nice to go out there and have a fairly strong outing." Happ has never started at Fenway Park, but hes faced the Red Sox four times and is 1-2 with a 5.06 ERA. Happ will be opposed by fellow southpaw Felix Doubront, who defeated Minnesota on Wednesday for his first victory since April 3. He gave up a single run in 6 1/3 innings against the Twins and has surrendered just two runs in 11 2/3 innings after a five-start skid that yielded no wins, three losses and an ERA near 6. Doubront faced the visiting Blue Jays twice in 2013 at Fenway and was 1-0 with a 2.70 ERA. On Sunday in Texas, Mitch Morelands two-run home run helped the Texas Rangers to a 6-2 win over the Blue Jays in the finale of a three-game set. Edwin Encarnacion and Juan Francisco hit solo homers for the Blue Jays. R.A. Dickey (4-4) lost for the first time in six starts as he was touched for four runs on three hits with three walks in 6 1/3 innings. "Were definitely going in the right direction but theres more there," Dickey said. "I think we all know it. Todays a game we probably should have won." The Red Sox enter the set having dropped four consecutive games, which already exceeds their longest losing streak of last season -- when they won a world championship under first-year manager John Farrell. Boston has sunk to fourth place in the five-team American League East Division, though its just three games behind the first-place New York Yankees and only a game out of third place, which is currently occupied by the Blue Jays. Toronto has won five of its last seven. The Red Sox have hit just .189 in the four-game slide and the starting pitchers have compiled an unsightly 5.73 earned run average across the last six games. They did score 16 runs in a three-game series with Toronto at Rogers Centre in late April, however, and will return to the road for 24 of the next 36 games after this series. Victor Martinez hit a two-run home run and the Detroit Tigers polished off a three-game sweep of the Red Sox with a 6-2 win. Xander Bogaerts finished 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Red Sox. Jake Peavy (1-2) allowed five runs on 11 hits over six innings. Boston took two of three from the Jays earlier in the year. Cristiano Ronaldo Jersey .J. -- Kevin Gilbride retired Thursday as offensive co-ordinator for the New York Giants. Mattia Caldara Jersey .Y. -- As if the worst start in franchise history isnt bad enough, Buffalo Sabres President Ted Black braced his teams win-starved fans for potentially more tough times.FONTANA, Calif. - Scott Dixon became the latest driver to deny Roger Penske an IndyCar championship, wrapping up his third title Saturday night in a race of attrition at Auto Club Speedway. Will Power won the season finale — a year after he crashed in this race to blow his own title chances — to salvage the night for Penske Racing. But it was Dixon and Chip Ganassi celebrating on the big stage as the New Zealander won his third series title, and Target Chip Ganassi claimed its 10th championship since 1990. Dixon wrapped it up with a fifth-place finish. He was the final car on the lead lap, and beat Helio Castroneves by 27 points for the title. "When youve won a couple, they are all very different," Dixon said about his three titles. "This year has been far different in that midyear we didnt think we had a shot at the championship." It wasnt incident-free. Dixon, also the series champion in 2003 and 2008, nearly overheated late in the race. "We were freaking out," admitted team manager Mike Hull. Penske has now been denied in the season finale six times since Sam Hornish won the organization its last IndyCar championship in 2006. Ganassi has won five championships in that span. "I feel for Helio," Dixon said. "He ran a strong year. Hes a hell of a competitor." This one slipped away in spectacular fashion as Castroneves led the points after 14 races this season and took a 49-point lead over Dixon into the Houston doubleheader two weeks ago. But a gearbox issue in the first race, which Dixon won, saw his lead sliced to just eight points. Then in the second race, Castroneves drove over a bump in the track to cause a catastrophic failure to his gearbox. Dixon finished second and left Houston with a 25-point lead. "One weekend for us, unfortunately for us cost us a lot of points," Castroneves said. "We did everything we could to avoid any kind of mechanical failure and the only time all season we had any kind of mechanical failure, thats what cost us the season. This is the tough part of racing." It backed Castroneves into a position of almost certainly needing to win Saturday nights finale to salvage the title. But with the big boss on his pit stand calling the race — Penske told The Associated Press before Houston hed call the final three races of the season and "if theres any mistakes, any issues, you can blame it on me" — Penske made a mistake. He called Castroneves to pit lane before the pits were open during a late caution, and Castroneves was penalized by IndyCar. He went from fourth to eighth after the drive-thru penalty. "Im so sorry," Penske radioed. Castroneves downplayed the mistake. "That was just a blip on the radar," he said. Instead, contact later with Dixon teammate Charlie Kimball broke Castroneves front wing. The stop to replace it dropped him a lap down, and Castroneves was the first car a lap down with his sixth-place finish. "I feell for Helio," said Dixon. Juventus Jerseys. "He ran a strong year. Hes a hell of a competitor." For Power, who was racing as much to help Castroneves win the title as he was for himself, ended the night with what he called "the most satisfying win of my life." Power had gone into the finale three years in a row with the championship on the line, but hit a seam in the speedway last year and crashed. Hes struggled most of this year and didnt pick up his first win of the year until Sonoma in August. He then added another victory two weeks ago at Houston, and Saturday nights win was his second career victory on an oval. "I wanted to do it so badly all year," Power said. "I knew in the early ovals, I just was kind of conservative because I just wanted to finish every lap. And this time Im going for it." Only nine cars were running at the end, and a six-car accident just past the halfway mark sent Justin Wilson to a local hospital for evaluation. IndyCar medical director Dr. Michael Olinger said Wilson suffered non-operable fractures to his pelvis and a small pulmonary contusion. The accident began when Wilsons car wiggled as his rear tire was caught in a seam on the track. The Brit tried to save it as his car began to spin toward the wall, but as he lost control, Tristan Vautier drove directly into the side of Wilsons car. "I didnt see him before I hit him. There was a big cloud of smoke. Didnt see what was happening," Vautier said. It took the safety team several minutes to get Wilson out of his car. He was placed on a stretcher and taken by ambulance to a local hospital. The accident also collected Josef Newgarden, who in trying to avoid Wilson drove into Oriol Servia. James Jakes was also knocked out of the race, and in-car cameras showed a huge piece of debris sailing over his head. "We were on the outside and in the smoke you lose perception of everything," Jakes said. "We lost our vision and then I got hit with the debris. Tough after starting fifth." Simona de Silvestros car suffered damage, but she was able to continue. Before that, Carlos Munoz was impressive driving as the emergency replacement for E.J. Viso, who didnt make the trip to Fontana. Andretti Autosport said Viso was ill, although reports out of Venezuela indicated Viso could be affected by an investigation into the funding of motorsports drivers in that country. So Munoz was given Visos car to drive Saturday night, hours after winning the Indy Lights race for the second consecutive year. Munoz, who finished second in the Indianapolis 500 earlier this year, drove as high as second and was mixing it up with the leaders. But he was aggressive — too aggressive for Castroneves team owners liking — and Penske urged Castroneves to get away from Munoz. It proved to be the correct advice when Munoz spun on Lap 101, ending his night. "You were smart there. He was in totally over his head," Penske radioed Castroneves. Wholesale NFL Jerseys Wholesale Nike NFL Jerseys NFL Jerseys From China Cheap Nike Basketball Jerseys Wholesale Hockey Jerseys China Nike Baseball Jerseys Cheap College Jerseys China Cheap Football Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Canada Wholesale NHL Jerseys CanadaWholesale Nike MLB Jerseys Canada Cheap NBA Jerseys Authentic Canada Stitched Soccer Jerseys Canada Cheap Jerseys Canada NFL ' ' '

SALT LAKE CITY -- Blowing out Utah for a second time this month was not in the cards for Portland. Case Keenum Jersey . With the Jazz making a fourth-quarter rally, the Blazers struggled to fight through offensive sluggishness and escape with a win. Nicolas Batum and Damian Lillard provided the lifeline in the final minute. Batum drained a 3-pointer to beat the shot clock and Lillard followed with another shot from long-range on the next possession to lift the Blazers to a 105-94 victory over the Jazz on Monday night. "The ball bounced their way a few times," Lillard said. "We knew it would be tough because we just played them two or three days ago. Theyre a better a team on their home floor. With us not having the greatest offensive night, we just wanted to stay the course and get the job done -- which we were able to do." LaMarcus Aldridge scored 24 points and Damian Lillard added 18 to propel Portland to a bounce back win after a loss to Dallas on Saturday snapped a four-game winning streak. Robin Lopez chipped in 15 points and 11 rebounds, and Wesley Matthews added 16 points for the Blazers, who notched their second win over Utah in December. Reserve Alec Burks had 20 points for the Jazz, who dropped their fourth game in a row. Enes Kanter added 19 points and Gordon Hayward chipped in 17 for Utah, which trailed the entire second half after nine ties and nine lead changes in the first half. "I thought we were doing a better job out there," Jazz coach Tyrone Corbin said. "I thought execution on the offensive end is getting a lot better. Were sharing the ball." Portland played clean basketball to build a second-half cushion and hold off a late Jazz rally. The Blazers had 23 assists and shot 47.1 per cent (40 of 85) from the floor, while committing just 11 turnovers. Portland broke open a close game by making six straight baskets to start the third quarter. Aldridge drained a jumper to start the run and Matthews capped the spurt with a 3-pointer, giving Portland a 64-51 lead at the 8:29 mark. Kanter made a pair of baskets to shave the lead to 64-57. It only set the stage for another Blazers run. This time, Portland rattled off four unanswered baskets -- capped by Lopezs layup -- to extend its lead to 72-57 with 4:13 remaining in the third quarter. The Blazers shot a blistering 61.1 per cent (11 of 18) from the field in the third quarter. And they did it by finding holes in the Jazz defence and attacking them with precision. "With our offence, I want us to be opportunistic with whatever the game gives us," Portland coach Terry Stotts said. "If it gives us 3s, we knock them down. If it gives us the paint, thats good too with LaMarcus on the block. One thing weve done well with offensively is we take what the game gives us." Utah made another run at the Blazers midway through the fourth quarter. Back-to-back jumpers from Hayward cut Portlands lead to single digits. Then, Trey Burke made a pair of free throws to bring the Jazz within 89-82 with 5:45 remaining. Utah cut the lead to seven several more times and pulled within 97-92 on a pair of free throws from Hayward with 1:28 left. But then Batum and Lillard drained their consecutive 3-pointers to put the game out of reach during the final minute. "You play good D for like 22 or 23 seconds and they hit the crazy shots," Kanter said. "Its tough you know -- thats basketball. You cant think about it. We just need to learn how to close games." Burke and Kanter put on a two-man show for the Jazz in the first quarter. The duo combined for 13 of Utahs first 15 points to help the Jazz keep pace with the Blazers. Portland created a small cushion late in the first half. Trailing by one after a layup by Kanter, the Blazers scored six straight points and took a 40-35 lead on a pair of free throws from Aldridge. They extended the lead to 49-41 after Lopez dunked and Aldridge scored an uncontested layup on back-to-back possessions. "We played sluggish tonight," Aldridge said. "We didnt have that killer (instinct) in us tonight. Guys were just tired tonight. Every game cant be great. I thought tonight was a good win for us because we came here and didnt make shots, but guys still put it up." NOTES: Portland notched its first win in its last six trips to Utah. The Trail Blazers are off to their best start since 1990-91, when they won 27 of 30 games to open the season. Utah announced that former coach Jerry Sloan will be honoured with a banner raising ceremony on Jan. 31. Sloan coached the team from 1988 to 2011, recording 1,127 victories during his tenure. . Lopez had his ninth double-double of the season. ... Batum matched a season-high with 11 assists. . Burks is averaging 16.6 points per game in his last seven games for the Jazz. Courtland Sutton Jersey . -- At the beginning of training camp, Andrew Bogut set a goal to play all 82 regular-season games and regain his place among the NBAs best centres. Denver Broncos Jerseys . -- Henry Josey watched helplessly from the sideline last fall, rehabbing from a serious knee injury, while Missouri was getting pushed around in its first SEC season.(SportsNetwork.com) - The playoff-hopeful Winnipeg Jets desperately need a win to aid their fragile postseason chances and they hope to get that victory on Friday when the struggling New York Rangers visit the MTS Centre. Tune into the game live on TSN Jets and TSN Radio 1290 Winnipeg at 6:30pm ct.Paul Maurices club is in the midst of a five-game slide, and although the Jets have managed to earn three points during the skid theyll need to start rattling off some wins to make the playoffs. Winnipeg is five points out of a playoff spot in the West with 15 games left on its schedule. The Jets havent made the postseason since relocating from Atlanta to Winnipeg prior to the 2011-12 campaign. The former Thrashers, meanwhile, only made the playoffs once during 11 frustrating seasons in Atlanta. The Jets fell to 0-3-2 on their current funk after Wednesdays 3-2 shootout loss against visiting Vancouver. Chris Higgins scored the game winner in the third round of the shootout, as the Canucks halted a seven-game road skid to down Winnipeg in the opener of a three-game homestand. Winnipeg held leads of 1-0 and 2-1 in the game, but couldnt close out the win in regulation. Then, after the first five shooters came up empty, Higgins charged in down the middle and made a number of quick dekes before stuffing a forehand past Ondrej Pavelecs outstretched right pad for the victory. Andrew Ladd and Michael Frolik each lit the lamp for Winnipeg, while Pavelec posted 31 saves in the setback. "Its a loss because of the shootout," Maurice said. "Its a 2-2 game in terms of how it was played and I think thats a pretty accurate assessment of how the game went." The Jets went 7-2-0 in the first nine games under Maurice, who replaced a fired Claude Noel in January. Winnipeg, however, is just 4-3-4 under Maurice since the coachs early success. Winnipeg earned a win oveer the Rangers on Dec. Josey Jewell Jersey. 2, notching a 5-2 road victory at Madison Square Garden. Ex-Ranger Olli Jokinen had two goals and an assist to lead the offense and Pavelec made 35 saves for the win. The Jets have won three of the last four meetings versus New York, but the Rangers have claimed two of the three encounters at the MTS Centre since the franchise relocated. New York has lost two straight to begin a three-game road trip and Alain Vigneaults club is just 2-4-1 in March. With 74 points, the Rangers are tied with Columbus for second place in the Metropolitan Division. but they are only one ahead of Philadelphia, which currently holds the last playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. After losing 3-1 at Carolina on Tuesday, the Blueshirts dropped a 2-1 decision Thursday night at Minnesota. Zach Parises goal 1:03 into the third period provided the difference in the Wilds 2-1 victory at XCel Energy Center. Cam Talbot turned aside 24 shots in the loss, with Derek Stepan recording the lone New York goal. "Were not scoring a lot of goals 5-on-5," said Vigneault. "I thought our effort was better tonight, our execution was a little bit better, but we need to finish more and obviously that wasnt the case tonight." Martin St. Louis is one of the many Rangers struggling to find the net at the moment. St. Louis has no goals and one assist in five games since coming to New York in the blockbuster trade that sent former Rangers captain Ryan Callahan to Tampa Bay. St. Louis has excellent career numbers against the Atlanta/Winnipeg franchise, posting 27 goals and 55 assists over 74 career games. Despite dropping the first two tilts on its current trek, New York still has a solid 19-13-0 road record this season. The Blueshirts will return home to host San Jose on Sunday, but then will head back out on another three-game swing. Wholesale NFL Jerseys Wholesale Nike NFL Jerseys NFL Jerseys From China Cheap Nike Basketball Jerseys Wholesale Hockey Jerseys China Nike Baseball Jerseys Cheap College Jerseys China Cheap Football Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Canada Wholesale NHL Jerseys Canada Wholesale Nike MLB Jerseys Canada Cheap NBA Jerseys Authentic Canada Stitched Soccer Jerseys Canada Cheap Jerseys Canada NFL ' ' '

BRISTOL, Tenn. Keke Coutee Jersey . -- Ryan Blaney bolted past Kyle Busch on a restart with six laps remaining and won Fridays NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway for his second career victory. It was a surprising finish after Busch, seeking to become the first driver to win four consecutive races in the series on the 0.533-mile oval, had dominated for much of night, especially on restarts. Battling at various times against the youngest and brightest stars in the series, Busch generally made quick work of them. He led 161 of the 300 laps and seemed poised for his record 67th victory in the series. But on the final restart, he was holding back, as was his prerogative as the leader, until Blaney suddenly darted to the lead from the inside line, cleared Buschs car and sailed off to the victory. "Kyle didnt go on that last restart," Blaney said, referring to the marked area on the track wall inside which the leader is supposed to accelerate, with the rest of the field following his lead. "He said his tires were jacked up and we got to the second line and we just went," Blaney said. Busch managed to get close to Blaneys bumper, but that was it. "I was driving my guts out trying to stay ahead of him," Blaney said. Busch, meanwhile, seethed like he had something taken away from him. "My rear tires werent on the race track and I couldnt accelerate," he said, suggesting Regan Smith, restarting behind him, had lifted Buschs car off the track to eliminate his traction. "NASCAR doesnt police it and so everybody keeps jacking around on it and one of these days Im just going to lock all four (tires) down and stack the whole field up," Busch said. Chase Elliott, who finished third, saw it differently. "I saw Kyle make a rare mistake," Elliott said, adding that Busch was spinning his tires. Elliott finished third and remained the series leader by 13 points over Smith. Ty Dillon finished fourth, followed by Smith. The night began with a 1 hour, 20 minute rain delay after a shower arrived just after driver introductions. The last half of the race was run with teams watching radar as a storm moved in, and it was a total washout for Elliott Sadler, too. The Virginia native began the night third in points and seeking his third Nationwide victory on the track that bills itself "the worlds fastest half-mile." Sadler was running in the top five until his problems began. He was involved in three of the nights 10 caution flags, the first after an accident with Timmy Hill, and limped to the finish in 29th place. He fell from 16 points off the lead to 42 behind. Earlier, Kyle Larson and Busch dueled extensively, and Larson was the only one able to get the better of Busch, until Blaney slipped into him and Larson spun into the wall, ruining his night. "I thought he was just going to chase me to the top, but instead he ran us into the wall," Larson said. "I know Ryans a good kid. Its just frustrating. Its Bristol. Its just short-track racing." Larson wound up 26th despite leading 46 laps. Sammie Coates Jersey .com) - Jahlil Okafor had 21 points, Tyus Jones scored 16 with 10 assists and No. Justin Reid Texans Jersey . Sitting on a seven-game winning streak since releasing Josh Smith last month, the Pistons trailed by as much as 23 points but had a chance to tie the score at the buzzer after an out-of-bounds call went their way following a replay review. But Kentavious Caldwell-Popes off-balance 3-pointer from the right sideline was short, ending the winning streak. Martinas Rankin Jersey. MONTREAL -- Anthony Calvillo isnt sure where hell be when the Montreal Alouettes open training camp in June. Eric Rowe Jersey . He just knows that for the first time since 98 he wont be on the field in his teal-coloured No. 13 practice jersey throwing balls to S.J. Green, Jamel Richardson and the other receivers. The 41-year-old who rewrote the CFL record book for quarterbacks announced his retirement Tuesday following an illustrious 20-year career. Its an end Calvillo knew was coming when he missed the final 10 games of the regular season with a concussion. "My mind was pretty much made up at the end of the season that I wanted to retire," said Calvillo. "I went on holidays to think about it but I was 99 per cent sure. "In my mind Ive moved on. The process of being hurt helped me go through the transition. So when June comes around, I dont know where Ill be." Heisman Trophy winner Troy Smith, who got a crash course on Canadian football after signing with Montreal in August, is pegged as the new starter. Thats a position Calvillo held since 2000 after signing with the Alouettes as Tracy Hams understudy two years earlier. Calvillo leaves as pro footballs most prolific passer (79,816 yards) and the CFLs all-time leader in completions (5,892), attempts (9,437) and TD strikes (455). A spot in the Canadian Football Hall of Fame surely awaits. The five-time CFL all-star also holds records for completions in one game (44), most 300-yard contests (125) and 4,000-yard seasons (11). Calvillo also holds most Grey Cup game records, including passing yards (2,470). Calvillo led Montreal to eight Grey Cup appearances, winning in 2002, 2009 and 2010. Owner Robert Wetenhall called Calvillo a "good and decent man" who was "arguably one of the great players in the history of professional football." In a statement, CFL commissioner Mark Cohon called Calvillo "more than one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the game. He is one of the most remarkable people to ever grace our league." The Los Angeles native who has made Montreal his home wont be going far. Calvillo has a spot waiting for him on the Alouettes coaching staff, but he plans to take the summer off before looking at coaching in 2015. For now, he is working on two online courses to get the final credits he needs to complete the degree he started at Utah State University before he turned pro. He will also do a 180-hour internship in the Alouettes scouting department and front office for credit. He wants to finish his BA in general studies by April and bring his wife and two young daughters to Logan, Utah, for the graduation ceremony. Leaving due to injury was not how Calvillo expected to end his career but he found he wasnt enjoying the game or playing up to his own standards in his final season. Calvillo didnt play after suffering the second major concussion of his career on what looked like a routine hit by Saskatchewans Ricky Foley in a 24-21 loss on Aug. 17 in Regina. "The thing that stood out to me is that my tolerance to take a hit had gone down and the hit that caused it wasnt a hard hit," said Calvillo, now symptom-free. " That concerned me. "At the end of the day, I just didnt want to put my head at risk any more." Now, the Alouettes will see what life is like without the player who has long been the face of their franchise. "This organization has always put the right people in place, so I feel confident," Calvillo said. "To see what Troy Smith did in half a season, not knowing anything about this league, was very impressive." Jim Popp, who has been general manager since the team returned to Montreal in 1996, said the Alouettes got a taste of what life without Calvillo will be like during his injury. "Our locker room had to learn to function without Anthony," he said. "There was a real growing process for our veterans and our new players that were looking up to Anthony. "This is real, and weve got to take a step forward and depend on other people." Popp stepped in as head coach when Dan Hawkins was fired only five games into his first CFL season and is expected to remain in his dual role. But the team put out a release last week saying its still looking at head coaching candidates. Popp said Calvillo will likely begin as a quarterbacks or receivers coach in 2015. But Popp sees Calvillo being an offensive co-ordinator and head coach in the future. Calvillo was very emotional as he addressed the media and a large group of past and present Alouettes at his farewell news conference. Popp sobbed even more as he went over what the steady, six-foot-one quarterback meant to the organization. Calvillo was just 21 when he made his CFL debut with the Las Vegas Posse in 1994. He went to Hamilton the next season after the Posse folded but following three struggling campaigns with the Tiger-Cats, Calvillo joined the Alouettes in 1998. He was considering an offer from the Saskatchewan Roughriders but opted to sign with Montreal for the chance to learn from Ham. "The reason I did not sign with Saskatchewan is that I knew if I had another bad year that my career was over and I couldnt risk that," he said. "I wanted to take a step back and learn from an experienced quarterback." Injuries that forced Hams retirement put Calvillo into the starting lineup earlier than expected and he excelled from the outset. The winning seasons piled up, but it wasnt always easy. In 2007, he took the final five games of the season off to tend to his wife Alexia, who was diagnosed with B-cell lymphoma only a week after giving birth to their second daughter. Then in 2010, a cancerous lesion was found in Calvillos neck. Thankfully, the scare passed with successful surgery to remove his thyroid gland. Calvillo also endured criticism for not playing well in championship games. The Alouettes win in 2002 under coach Don Matthews was largely due to the clubs defence but the repeat championships in 2009-10 under Marc Trestman offered redemption. "I never gave up on myself," said Calvillo. "It was tough when you have spectacular regular seasons and then things dont work out for you in the playoffs, especially in championship games. "But I never doubted myself or quit. I refocused and got ready for the next year." Video messages from Trestman and Calvillos long time go-to receiver, Ben Cahoon, were played during the announcement. Guard Scott Flory said the Alouettes will have to learn to move on without Calvillo. "I got drafted in 1998 -- Cahoon went first and I was the next pick and we all showed up together," said the all-star guard. "When you have an opportunity to play with these amazing players, its just surreal. "You really appreciate what hes done. The legend will just grow." Chris Hogan Jersey . So what happens? Stevenson lands a huge left to Dawsons temple only 76 seconds into the opening round and walks away with the championship belt. "I said Id knock him out," said Stevenson (21-1). Jordan Matthews Jersey . After losing Brett Cecil to groin tightness on Friday, the Blue Jays watched as R.PEORIA, Ariz. -- Asked how miserable he was in a 2013 season in Toronto filled with arm pain and hard-hit balls, Josh Johnson chuckled and shook his head. "Miserable might be an understatement," Johnson said Friday. "It was like two innings and all of a sudden eight runs are on the board. I had no idea what was going on. It was crazy." The right-hander was able to crack a smile in part because he has a surgically repaired elbow and a fresh start with the San Diego Padres, a combination he hopes will help him return to the form that included two All-Star selections and a National League-best 2.30 ERA with the Marlins in 2010. "Before he got hurt, to me, he was the most dominating pitcher in the National League and probably in the major leagues," said Joaquin Benoit, another of the Padres off-season pitching acquisitions. "It will be really good if hes healthy. Hes going to be a really big piece for our rotation." Thats the plan for the normally thrifty Padres, who opened spring training Friday with the first workout for pitchers and catchers sporting a new look and a higher payroll. The Padres signed Benoit away from Detroit with a two-year, $15.5 million deal to be their setup man, and inked Johnson to a one-year, $8 million deal after his terrible season with the Blue Jays in hopes he can be an anchor in their rotation. "Physically, mentally hes in a good spot," manager Bud Black said of Johnson. That was not the case last year, or the past few seasons. After going a combined 26-11 with 377 strikeouts for the Marlins in 2009-10, he had his season cut short a year later with shoulder trouble. He went just 8-14 with a 3.81 ERA in 2012 before he was traded to the Blue Jays after the season. The 6-foot-7 Johnson said he struggled with his "extension" in Toronto because of elbow problems. It led to command issues, and getting balls up in the strike zone in hitter-friendly Rogers Centre proved costly. Johnson went 2-8 with a 6.20 ERA and allowed 15 home runs in 16 starts as the Blue Jays were one of the more disappoiinting teams in baseball. Tom Brady Jersey. After undergoing arthroscopic surgery to remove bone chips in his right elbow Oct. 1, the Blue Jays decided not to give him a qualifying offer. Johnson then told his agent he wanted to play for San Diego or San Francisco, so he could be closer to his Las Vegas home. Moving to a pitcher-friendly park wouldnt hurt, either. Knowing hed likely have to accept a one-year deal, he took the Padres offer, taking a pay cut from the four-year, $39 million deal he signed with the Marlins. Now he joins a franchise looking to rebound from consecutive 76-86 seasons, with free agency looming again next off-season. "I want to get to the playoffs. I want to be in that atmosphere, to be throwing in October," said Johnson, who turned 30 last month. "If you go out there and you perform, the moneys going to be there." Johnson, who has thrown off a mound five times since the surgery, threw 35 pitches in a bullpen session with catcher Yasmani Grandal on Friday morning without problems. Black said hell throw again on Sunday and that hes on the same schedule as the rest of the healthy starters. "The short time Ive been around him, I love his mindset, I love his makeup, his mentality, his aggressiveness," catcher Nick Hundley said. "I think his body of work kind of speaks for itself. Hes a multiple-time All-Star. He led the league in ERA. I dont think you luck into those types of things. "Were excited to have him. Now hopefully he stays healthy and he can be out there a lot for us." NOTES: Black said they "probably wont" carry three catchers, signalling its an important camp for Grandal, who is recovering from knee surgery. . Black indicated RHP Casey Kelly is "three weeks, four weeks behind" the rest of the staff as he recovers from elbow reconstruction surgery. . The only player missing was LHP Alex Torres, whos dealing with a visa issue in Venezuela and is expected next week. . ALLEN PARK, Mich. Markus Wheaton Jersey . - The Detroit Lions slipped and slid plenty in the snow at Philadelphia. Maybe it was fitting. The slumping Lions (7-6) have lost three of four games, blowing fourth-quarter leads each time, wasting chance after chance to take command of the NFC North. "Well just take this slap in the face and hope it wakes us up," cornerback Chris Houston said after Sundays 34-20 loss to the Eagles. "We have two straight home games and we have to go get them. We cant get down on ourselves. We are still in a good position in our division. I think we like when our backs are against the wall." Detroit hosts the defending champion Baltimore Ravens next Monday night and then the New York Giants before closing the regular season at Minnesota. The Lions will remain in first place in the division headed into the weekend, but they have left little room for error over their next three games, all of which will be played indoors. "Anytime its in your hands like that, you feel good about your opportunities," Lions coach Jim Schwartz said Monday. "I know this, the next three games we are not going to have to worry about eight inches of snow on the ground. We are not going to have to worry about 50 mph winds or anything else, but potentially in the future we still do." That would be the playoffs — if Detroit can figure out how to tilt the turnover ratio back to its favour. Detroit had a total of eight turnovers in losses against Tampa Bay and Pittsburgh, while failing to force one turnover in either game. The Lions then fumbled seven times and lost three to Philadelphia, which turned it over only once in the same conditions. "Id say the first half was probably more difficult than the second," quarterback Matthew Stafford said. "It was a little icier in the second, but its no excuse. We had opportunities to make plays and we didnt make them." The Lions went ahead 20-14 early in the fourth quarter against the Eagles after Jeremy Ross 98-yard kick return — his second score on special teams Sunday — before letting LeSean McCoy score a go-ahead touchdown on a 57-yard run and getting shut down on offence. After the game, some Lions said they were soft on defence. The next day, Schwartz disagreed with that assessment. "We missed a lot of tackles in that game and LeSean McCoy did a good job with the conditions and we didnt," Schwartz said. "I wouldnt put it on anything else. Players can characterize it any way they want, but when you say that word it becomes sort of an inflammatory word." Detroit took leads into the fourth quarter against the Buccaneers and Steelers before being held scoreless in the final quarters of both losses. Schwartz insisted the team is focused on looking ahead to the opportunity of winning the division title — for the first time since 1993 — and cant afford to look back. "You cant really worry about whats happened in the past," Schwartz said. "You have to keep your eyes focused on the future. It starts Monday night with the Ravens." NOTES: Schwartz said rookie CB Darius Slay had knee surgery last Friday and the team didnt put him on injured reserve, holding out hope he can return. ... The team will interview Clippers assistants Tyronn Lue and Alvin Gentry over the next two days for their coaching job, a person with knowledge of the meetings told The Associated Press. The person spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity because the team is not commenting during its search. The Cavaliers are looking for their third coach in three years after firing Mike Brown -- for the second time -- this month following a 33-49 season. The Cavs job became more attractive recently after the club won the NBA draft lottery for the second straight year and third time in four seasons. New general manager David Griffin promised an expansive search not limited to the pro ranks. The team reportedly reached out to Florida coach Billy Donovan, who has previous flirtations with the NBA. Madison, WI (SportsNetwork. Houston Texans Jerseys .com) - The Battle for Paul Bunyans Axe had a lot more riding on it this season. The result, however, remained the same. Melvin Gordon carried the ball 29 times for 151 yards with two total touchdowns as No. 14 Wisconsin defeated 22nd-ranked Minnesota 34-24 on Saturday afternoon to clinch the Big Ten West. The Badgers (10-2, 7-1 Big Ten), who erased a 14-point second quarter deficit by ripping off 24 straight points to win their 11th straight meeting against the Golden Gophers, will face Ohio State in the Big Ten title game next Saturday night. The Buckeyes will be without their standout quarterback J.T. Barrett, who left Saturdays game against Michigan on a cart after suffering a broken ankle on the first play of the fourth quarter. Once we were able to settle down, we produced a couple drives, Badgers coach Gary Andersen said. Offense executed very well. Wisconsin received a scare late in the fourth when Gordon grabbed his right ankle and limped off the field following a 6-yard run with about three minutes left. I think he should be just fine, Andersen said. Gordon posted a receiving score and his other on the ground for Wisconsin, which has won seven consecutive games. Gordon surpassed former Badger Ron Dayne for the Big Ten single-season rushing yards record in the first quarter. He now has 2,260 rushing yards on the year. Alex Erickson caught five passes for 160 yards, while Joel Stave completed 11- of-18 passes for 215 yards with two touchdowns in the triumph. Corey Clement, who came in with just 44 yards in his last three games, put up 89 yards and a touchdown on seven carries. David Cobb tallied 118 yards and a score on 25 totes for Minnesota (8-4, 5-3), which dropped three of its last five games to close the regular season. Well bounce back Minnesota coach Jerry Kill said. There arent any happy about the axe. Mitch Leidner was 5-of-18 for 95 yards and added 54 yards and two scores on the ground in defeat. The Gophers havent beaten Wisconsin since 2003. The Badgers took their first lead with Gordon on the sideline taking a breather at the 6:20 mark of the third. Clement burst up the middle for a 28- yard score to cap a seven-play, 80-yard drive and make it 20-17. Gordon broke off a 24-yard run and Clement added a 31-yarder two plays later before Gordon plunged in from a yard out for a 27-17 cushion early in the fourth. On Minnesotas ensuing sequence, Leidner hit a wide open Maxx Williams over the middle on a hide route and he ran down the right sideline for a 53-yard gain. The reception set up Leidners 2-yard, zone-read keeper two snaps later to cut the gap to 27-24. Wisconsin put the game away on its next touch. Erickson scampered for 31 yards along the left sideline on a wide receiver screen and Stave fired a 17-yard TD strike to Robert Wheelwright on a skinny post for his first catch of the year. The reception made it 34-24 with 4:41 to play. The Badgers then forced a Golden Gophers three-and-out and ran 2:10 off the clock. Minnesota got the ball back with 1:17 remaining, but Leidners 4th- and-10 pass fell incomplete to seal the outcome. Earlier, the Gophers raced out to a 17-3 advantage. Minnesota punted after failing to pick up a first down on the opening possession of the game, but Jack Lynn forced a fumble on Kenzel Does return and Eric Murray recovered the ball at the 13. Leidner kept it off the left edge two plays later for the games first score. Rafael Gaglianone nailed a 24-yard field goal on Wisconsins first sequence, but Cobbs 40-yard TD run a few possessions later made it 14-3 late in the first. Ryan Santoso split the uprights from 37 yards out early in the second for Minnesotas 14-point cushion. Stave stepped up in the pocket and found Gordon in the front part of the end zone for a 4-yard score on a 3rd-and-goal and Gaglianone added a 38-yard field goal on the final play of the half to trim the deficit to 17-13 heading into the break. Game Notes Wisconsin outgained Minnesota 448-272 ... The Badgers were 5-of-12 on third down, while the Gophers finished 5-of-15 ...
