On the game's official forums, community manager Aerythlea said that the itemization would be contingent upon the 1.12 patched version of World of Warcraft. Additionally, whilst articles will be unlocked in stages, systems such as class stats and design on existing items will be entirely based on 1.12. You can see a select wow classic gold of the reasoning below, or browse the entire post here.

"Developers have scoured through seller lists and treasure tables to get items that were added in patches, then attached them to the staged material unlock program," they wrote. "This implies that if a new item was initially added to a dungeon boss's loot table with Ahn'Qiraj, you shouldn't expect it to appear at WoW Classic until Stage 5, which is the phase that contains Ahn'Qiraj content.

"Along the way, we've seen many queries asking if we're also retracing the steps of incremental changes to individual items as well as their stats that may have occurred throughout original WoW. Such a strategy could be called progressive itemization.'" Itemization, for instance, will probably be taking cues from spot 1.12 of the classic World of Warcraft, choosing to not factor in the progressive tweaks that were created with different subsequent updates.

"Here's an example of progressive itemization," composed the devs. "The Tier 2 warrior Helm of Wrath originally had Spirit and Agility onto it, as well as critical strike chance. Then in Patch 1.7.0, the quantity of fire on the helm has been decreased. In Patch 1.8.0, the 5-piece set bonus that included the helm was fixed to work with Whirlwind, and in 1.9.0, it got a better look with an art upgrade.

"WoW Classic will only include that previous version of the product, as it existed in our benchmark version: 1.12." World of Warcraft Classic, in whatever form to buy wow gold classic takes, hasn't been slated for an specific launch yet, but BlizzCon is not too far away today, so there is a good chance we'll hear more afterward.
