Devin Booker pushed his own teammate to shoot home the
NBA 2K20 MT Players Championship, winning two games Saturday night. In Game 1, Booker utilized the Houston Rockets to defeat the Los Angeles Lakers 72-62 of Ayton before winning Game 2 74-62 with the Denver Nuggets against the Milwaukee Bucks. Booker shouted as he drifted the matchup. "That is the way we get a ring!"
After defeating the Nuggets in the semifinals with Patrick Beverley controlling them, No. 10 seed Ayton was helpless against No. 5 seed Booker, falling to a double-digit shortage after halftime of Game 2 that was impossible to climb back from.In taking home the name, Booker will get $100,000 to donate to a charity of his choice behind COVID-19 relief courtesy of 2K Sports, the NBA and the National Basketball Players Association.
"It was a gifted area," Booker said postgame. "I stated from the beginning it was going to be me and Deandre at the final, and that's how it was" Of the 18 ESPN NBA experts to forecast the result of that the tournament, just four had Booker winning it all. None had Ayton. The last round featured a good quantity of trash talk between the two teammates. Knowing that Ayton nevertheless had Milwaukee available to play in the final round, Booker taunted Ayton as time wound up to come back with arguably the best team in NBA 2K20.
"Go get the Bucks, also." Booker chirped. "I need them. Ayton didn't have much of a chance with them anyhow. Before Booker took a 10-point lead in the third quarter, Ayton whined he'd never utilized Milwaukee before and was trying to figure them out.
"I played with a lot growing up," Booker said of his skills. "I've been playing video games to
buy mt for quite a long time. It is all about time and hand-eye coordination." The Suns' guard even had to utilize the Lakers himself. He said he had been keeping that option available if he found himself in an elimination match. That did not happen, of course. Booker won five matches at the tournament with double digits, including both matches in the last round to snatch the title.
