Blizzcon is going on now, and the highlight is a great deal of gameplay, the show of Diablo IV -- announcement trailer that is complete with CGI, and many details on the title. For many gamers, among the most exciting tidbits given out is that personality and class customization will be bigger than in previous games --"greater than we have ever had before," in accordance with art manager John Mueller. It is not only appearance, either, as match director Luis Barriga explains,"customization is in the core of Diablo IV". With the talent trees, players can pour skill points to various different passive and active forces -- the Sorceress' Frostbite skill, for example, can have its damage boosted by up to five points.
The trees stand along with rune words Lord of Destruction and ability ranks, once they had been left from Diablo III. Triggers and effects are important to create these new rune words sense much more"freeform", rather than like a recipe. "We want you to play the build that is in your mind," adds Barriga,"the build that you need to perform ." While there'll be many more details shared in a Diablo IV Blizzcon panel , it'll be a long time until players get to experience this customization for themselves -- as the game is not coming anytime soon.
